Am I correct that there's no benefit in warm climates to adding more coolant than what's required to make a 50% solution?
After all the coolant system temperature is regulated by the thermostat and pressure by the radiator cap. The only benefit of extra coolant would be maybe added corrosion resistance and less coolant mixture going to the overflow tank when the car shuts off (if you can call that a benefit... really who cares), otherwise it seems to me there's no benefit to adding more than 50% concentrated coolant to the system. This assumes you stick with traditional ethylene glycol only -- not sure how this plays out with water wetter and the likes. Do you agree?
